This architectural-designed home with a roof garden sits on 2 acres of private grounds, including a private heated pool, a new jacuzzi  for 4 and a shaded dining terrace with separate BBQ station and an additional seating area near the pool.  Play boules, visit the private lake with fish, climb the bespoke tree house for children or the young at heart.  A five minute walk to town and the local tennis courts, basketball court and public swimming pool facility .  

The Interior

A spacious 300 square meter home with 4 large bedrooms with king beds and en-suites.  The 4th bedroom is part of a separate guest house on the property which is included for stays over 7 guests. A large Study offers further sleeping accommodation for an additional guest with a comfortable sofa bed and additional television.  

The interior reflects carefully chosen furnishings show casing both traditional and modern design within the light-filled living spaces. Features include; oversized windows, open plan living, high ceilings, underfloor heating, an innovative feature fireplace, the kitchen is home to  impressive ultra-modern appliances. Air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and a  55"Smart TV with streaming services are some of the state-of-the-art features that guests should expect in this high-end home. Doors open to the back terrace where you can enjoy expansive views of the countryside and National Park from the two outside seating areas. The three  en-suite bathrooms (one with a tub and shower) have distinctive tilework with modern finishes.  There is also a guest toilet and sink.

- Guest House - A one bedroom guest house is available for all bookings with over 7 guests.  It is located 50 steps from the front door and includes living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen.  Amenities include their own television and laundry facilities

The Grounds

The glorious valley views from the swimming pool and jacuzzi are simply beautiful. Sunbathe on the poolside terrace, dine al-fresco under the pergola or admire the stunning vistas from the terrace. There is a tree house for the children and boules for the family.

The Town 
This family-friendly holiday home is just 1 km from Lalbenque, with every amenity you need, including Au Gout Dujour, Classically inspired bistro restaurant. Foodies will want to partake in the cuisine of the region, including foie gras, truffles and Bergerac wine. The most famous truffle market is held in Lalbenque.  Carrefour and Spar are both conveniently located within a 5 minute walk.

The house is 15 km from the regions capital Cahors, a stunning riverside town. between Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Sarlat-la-Caneda, and Bergerac in Dordogne, just 45 minutes from the Bergerac international airport. A 25 minute drive to Saint-Cirq-Lapopie the famous medieval town perched on a cliff.  It  is a masterpiece of medieval times. with its architecture, its medieval streets and its many artists.

The Lot markets are full of enticing smells and shimmering colors. Impossible to spend a stay in the Lot without going for a walk to take it all in. Among the flagship products of Lot gastronomy, there is of course the truffle.  It is impossible to talk about Lalbenque without mentioning the Black Diamond Truffle.

A short drive to Cahors which has two UNESCO World Heritage sites:  You are surrounded by valleys, hills and woodland making it a lovely area for hiking plus there are mountain bike circuits to follow.  The vision of Pont Valentre spans the Lot River a truly amazing site.

A 10 minute drive to Karthors, with one of the most beautiful karting circuits in France.  An 800-meter track with FFSA approval.  Be sure to visit Grotte du Peche Merle with  prehistoric cave paintings.  

What you should know…

  • The closest neighbor's house sits about 45 meters to the right side of the property and is set well back from the pool and garden so it does not overlook the pool or spa.
  • Exclusive use of the pool and Spa
  • The main house sleeps up to 7 guests, for larger parties  the one bedroom guest villa on site will be provided for up to  two additional guests.
  • You enter the property from a walkway directly on to the Mezzanine level.-
  • Staircase from Mezzanine to ground floor living areas
  • 4 new Bikes are available for guests
  • Town for restaurants, supermarket and facilities is 1.0 km
  • There are tennis and basketball courts within a 5 minute walk
