Four bedrooms offer en-suite facilities, two bathrooms serve the other 4 bedrooms and there are two additional bathrooms in the property.

The Manoir is ideal for large families or multi-generational groups holidaying together. With a traditional grand reception hall, living room, and a beautiful dining room. Throughout you will discover many original features such as parquet wood floors, marble fireplaces impressive high ceilings and a stunning stone staircase. It makes the perfect place for a holiday in the Southwest of France.

The Manoir is located in the heart of the famous Bordeaux wine region: within 20 minutes of Saint-Emilion's UNESCO world heritage village, the celebrated vines of Pomerol and the historic town of Libourne.  

House Interiors
Ground Floor
Main Salon 30 m2, with doors leading out to a large exquisitely tiled Reception that
runs the length of the house.
Opposite are large double doors opening to the Dining room 30 m2, with an imposing   marble fireplace and a small bar table.
TV/Reading room 24m2, with fireplace and a new 55"television.
At the center, adjacent to the Dining Room is an Office with Desk, Computer and Printer.
Large Powder/Shower Room with tiled Shower.
Kitchen faces south and to the rear of the Manoir, overlooking large Gardens, mature Magnolia trees, an orangery, stable and a summer house.

The Gardens

The house sits in the center of the village of Saint -Medard-de-Guizieres and yet it enjoys total privacy.  Entering through imposing gates the house is surrounded by walls, hedges and lush gardens front and rear.

Mature vegetation surrounds the Manoir with seating areas to the front and rear gardens. Gracing the back garden there are two majestic Magnolia trees with garden furniture and lawned areas to sit and relax. 

The added benefit of floodlighting for the evenings. A large outdoor dining terrace and summer house for BBQ's or catered evenings for those balmy summer evenings. Many quiet areas to relax away the hot summer days

The Town
Good restaurants, pizzerias, supermarkets and a Gault Millau rated Bakery across the street, where you can enjoy some of the finest tasting croissants, bread and patisseries. The immediate surroundings offer many leisure hiking trails, as well as the chance to take in some great views and get closer to the French countryside. The recently opened Le Petit Queyrai restaurant is a 5-minute walk from the Manoir and is run by the famous chef, Fabian Caboy. A large Saint-Emilion winery in the village that offers wine tasting.

The Manoir provides a lot of facilities to families with or without children. It is close to an array of facilities, including the town for all your supplies, local swimming pool, lakes, river, golf, horse-riding, boulodrome, kids play parks, kayaking, restaurants for both kids and adults and waterparks.

Saint-Médard-de-Guizières has its own village market on a Friday morning and large renowned markets can be found in the neighboring town of Saint-Seurin-sur-l''lsle and Libourne.

Saint-Médard-de-Guizière's station has rail connections to Bordeaux (40 mins), Périgueux (40 mins), Brive-la-Gaillarde and Limoges. Libourne is also accessible by train in 15-minutes and by the free bus connection that operates throughout the region. Paris is 2.5 hours by train. Arcachon bay with its famous beach, oysters and the highest dune in Europe is also 2 hours by train or car.
